A delicious, yet simple dip. The Tomato Queen adds a vibrant red color to your meal. All you have to do is pick one good tomato and grate it.
I like to use heirloom or beefsteak tomatoes to make my Tomato Queen dip.
Great addition to a piece of toast, potatoes, rice or any savory food.
WHAT YOU NEED
-1 large ripe tomato (use heirloom or beefsteak for best flavor)
-1 tbsp olive oil
-¼ tsp salt
-Pinch of black pepper
HOW TO MAKE
- Choose the best ripened tomato.
- Cut a thin slice from the bottom of the tomato.
- Using a grater, grate the tomato into a bowl with an open palm, until you have just the skin left in your hand. Discard the skin.
- Add salt and pepper. Mix well, taste and adjust.
- Drizzle the olive oil on top and place it on your dining table.
