Cashew spread, full of flavor, is used as a base spread for a sandwich, dip or salad dressing,
The taste is like a delicate and special cheese, without the aftertaste of the milk
WHAT YOU NEED?
1 cup of cashews
¼ cup brewer's yeast
2 garlic cloves
1 lime or lemon for juice
½ teaspoon of turmeric
½ teaspoon sweet paprika|
1 hot green pepper, alternate (optional)
4 tablespoons of olive oil
¼ cup almond milk or water
¾ teaspoon of salt
1 tablespoon miso (if you dont have, it is ok)
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
sprinkle over:
Olive oil
Any green herb you have at home, chopped shallots and aleppo pepper or paprika
- Soak a cup of cashews overnight.
- Take out the liquids and put the cashews in a blender together with nutritional yeast, garlic, lime juice, paprika, miso, mustard, turmeric almond milk, olive oil and salt.
- Put the blender on the highest setting until you get a uniform yellowish and stable paste.
- Transfer to a nice bowl and sprinkle over olive oil , paprika and chopped shallot.
