Note: If you do not have a Kitchen Aid or a Food Processor, mix and knead with your hands.

_____________

WHAT YOU NEED

- 115 grams of room-temperature butter
- ½ cup of Sugar
- Pinch of Salt
- 2 cups of Plain Flour
- 1 tablespoon of powdered Sugar
- ¾ tablespoon of Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
- 2 tablespoons of  Olive Oil
- ¾ cup of Tahini
- For Decoration: A handful of Sesame Seeds

HOW TO MAKE

    • Preheat the Oven to 325F/165C
    • In a Kitchen Aid or Food Processor mix the Butter, Sugar, and Salt.
    • Once the Butter and Sugar have combined, add the rest of the ingredients: the flour, the powdered Sugar, the Baking Powder, the Vanilla Extract, the Olive Oil, and the Tahini.
    • Place parchment paper onto an oven tray.
    • When the ingredients have mixed well into a unified dough, take some dough and form small 2 inch wide balls in the palms of your hands. Once the ball is formed, flatten it by softly squeezing the dough between the palms of your hands. Place the semi-flat tahini cookie on the oven tray and sprinkle some Sesame Seeds on top of each cookie.
    • Place the cookies in the oven and bake for 13 minutes.
    • Take out the cookies and set aside to cool. You cannot eat them before they have cooled and settled!
    • Sit beside someone you love, make some tea, and take a bite of a Tahini Cookie.
